LED PEN HOLDER WORKSHOP

Course Information

Participants will be introduced to basic electronics; they will create their own LED Pen Holder through learning how to use a 3D pen to create a pen holder and install LED circuits to lit it up. This workshop aims to introduce participants to advanced technology in LED and 3D printing, and their applications for personal and commercial uses. They will first learn how a 3D pen works and how to master using it to create a pen holder. They will then learn simple parallel and series circuits to create a LED circuit and light up the pen holder.

Technology

Participants will be introduced to new LED technology and applications. They will learn how a 3D pen and Chibitronics work, and advanced technology to create products.

STEM ELEMENTS

It was amazing that we could use a 3D pen to first create 2D walls and then join them up to create a 3D object. It is also very cool to add in LEDs into the pen holder.

Student, Dunman Secondary School
