AIR ROCKET WORKSHOP

Course Information

In this workshop, participants will be introduced to the concept of space and life of an astronaut. They will then learn about parts of the rockets and the flight science behind how a rocket works. Participants will be handed materials and guided on making their very own paper rocket. Upon completion, they will blast their rockets off to space via DIY launchers.

**Each participant will take home one rocket**

  1. Introductory flight principles of a rocket
  2. Understanding about space and rockets
  3. Learn about the life of an astronaut
  4. Trajectory flight path of rockets
  5. Learn how to make a DIY rocket launcher
ENGINEERING

Participants will fix up their very own air rocket from scratch, figuring out where the parts belong to and sticking on the fins symmetrically so the rocket will fly straight.

ROCKET science

Participants of this workshop will learn physics concepts like four forces of flight, how rockets work, and air pressure exerted that cause the air rockets to blast off from the launchers.

STEM ELEMENTS

It was fun making the rocket with my father. I love my rocket because it is very colourful and I can launch it very high up into the air with the launcher.
